Same Name, Same Quality
Ralph’s Trophy Shop, a community staple since 1982, has entered a new chapter under the ownership of Christi Jones, who has been at the helm since April 2024. With a background in embroidery and design, Jones brings fresh enthusiasm while maintaining the same dedication to quality and service established by founder Ralph Nix.
Jones learned about the opportunity to buy the shop through a local connection and quickly began the transition process. Despite the challenges of taking over during the busy season, she has embraced her new role with determination.
“The name won’t change,” Jones said. “Ralph built a legacy here, and every child in town probably has a trophy from Ralph’s. That will not change.” She assured that the loyal and dedicated employees from Nix’s tenure will continue with her, ensuring customers receive the same excellent service.
Jones plans to expand the shop’s offerings while keeping its core values intact. “We’re not just a trophy shop. We offer a variety of products and services, and I want people to know they’ll get the same quality and friendly faces,” she added.
Ralph Nix, now retired, expresses gratitude for 42 years of community support and is confident in Jones’s ability to carry on the tradition.
42 Years of Offering Recognition
Ralph’s Trophy Shop was founded in 1982 by Ralph E. Nix to meet the local demand for a trophy supplier for bowlers. It quickly became the go-to source for churches, recreation departments, schools, and other organizations.
Initially, all trophies were hand-molded and cut until the purchase of a laser engraver opened up many other avenues for the business. This addition enabled the production of plaques, signs, banners, name tags, promotional products, and more.
In 2014, Ralph’s Trophy Shop moved to its current location on Wells Highway. Ralph ran the business until April 2024, when he retired and sold it to Christi Jones. The foundation of superb customer service remains the top priority, along with maintaining the Ralph’s Trophy Shop name.
